For this private walking tour of Newcastle, I can meet you at any City Centre hotel or one near a Metro station or indeed off the train at Newcastle Central Station. From there we can head straight to the tour route. As this is a private tour, the route can be totally personalised and really we go at whatever pace you like. If you’d like to stop for a drink or a snack, just let me know. Like all my tours my ethos is to do the tour as if we are friends or family, there is no hurry.

See the famous sights and explore the back streets
Newcastle was once famous for its heavy industry in the shape of coal-mining and ship building and all manner of other things such as trains. However there’s been a transformation over the last few decades. The Toon is now a top weekend destination and one renowned around the world for its bridges, nightlife, architecture and friendly locals.

Our walking tour will take us along the famous quayside and bridges. We will also visit Cathedrals, medieval walls and castles. See Roman ruins and Georgian streets that more than match those in Edinburgh or Bath. In fact Newastle has the street thats been voted the most beautiful urban street in Great Britain.

I’ve spent 12 years showing people around London and southern England. Now let me show you the place I call home. This tour can also include a trip to see the fantastic Angel of the North, the most viewed public work of art in Europe and the world’s biggest Angel!
