Oxford Tour

The city of dreaming spires Oxford Tour

Oxford is one of principal university cities of Great Britain, and its university is renowned across the globe.   Oxford is full of wonderful buildings and architecture. Walking around its streets it is easy to get lost in its history as Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world. You can see it all on our Oxford Tour.

Wonder round the historical chapels and courtyards around the university or take a walk along the River Thames, known locally as Isis.  Over 9 million visitors a year come to Oxford. There is so much to see that it still feels like a special destination despite sometimes there being crowds.

Oxford also has a wonderful collection of museums such as The Ashmolean Museum, which is every bit a match for those found in London.  Nearby is the famous Bodleian Library, centuries old and one of the main repositories for books in the United Kingdom. To really see everything in Oxford why not climb one of the medieval church towers. It’s a fantastic way to see across the beautiful city skyline.

Finally, if all this history and culture gets too much then why not look for a gift. Or have a tea and scone in Oxfords main shopping district. There is nowhere quite like Oxford, except of course Cambridge which you can also visit with us. Please note that due to its special heritage status, we park the car at a suburban park and ride carpark and then travel the last 2 or 3 miles in on bus.
