This spooky tour takes us around the maze of Roman, Viking and Medieval Streets, Georgian passageways and old Victorian slums. Taking place almost entirely within the original old City of London, this 2-3 hour walking tour will show you parts of London with dark history and verified haunting spots of ghosts from the Middle Ages right up into the 21st Century. Normally we don’t even see any other tourists on our route which as far as possible with ghosts, put authenticity over the implausible tales on other ghost walks.We will start of in the fine tradition of gory history in the East and learn about headless ghost who haunts St Botolph after being beheaded by King Charles II. Then to the heart of London and the Bank of England. Be careful what you say here should you be approached by a lady asking for the whereabouts of her unfortunate brother.Of course pubs are central to London life and death and we will visit the spot where just recently the ghosts of two Victorian men have scared drinkers and learn of their tragic fight to the death.
We have angry poltergeists, evil murderesses and the ghost of the innocent young boy who died 300 years ago and yet still befriends visiting children to this day. Learn about the terrible history and curse of St Mary Le Bow in the heart of Medieval London.
The tour ends conveniently close to a great little pub next to a tube station, should you need a stiff drink before making your way back to the hotel!
