Three Extraordinary Experiences in One Day

Inside Parliament, through Westminster — and down into the War Rooms

This is one of the most extraordinary tours we offer — and one of the most extraordinary days you can spend in London. It combines a small group guided tour inside the Houses of Parliament with a private walking tour around Parliament Square and Westminster, before descending beneath the streets into the Churchill War Rooms — the WW2 bunker that is still almost exactly as it was in 1945, from which Churchill directed the most important war in human history.

Your guide is one of Britain’s leading authorities on Churchill — invited to record features for international television on Churchill’s achievements and legacy. The depth of knowledge and passion brought to this tour is exceptional.

🏛️
Inside the Houses of Parliament The Commons Chamber with its famous green benches — and the hidden toilet beneath the Speaker’s chair. The Lords Chamber and the ancient woolsack. The almost thousand-year-old Westminster Hall, where monarchs have lain in state and history has been made for centuries.
🗽
Parliament Square & the great figures of history Richard the Lionheart, Oliver Cromwell, Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, the Suffragettes — and of course Churchill himself, standing guard in bronze over the square where he walked in Britain’s finest and darkest hours.
🔦
The Churchill War Rooms — entry & audio guide included Deep beneath the streets of Westminster, perfectly preserved from 1945. The map room where the war was plotted. Churchill’s desk. The telephone room with its direct line to Roosevelt. Skip-the-line tickets and the full audio guide are included.

Your guide — a Churchill authority on international television Our guide has been invited to record features for international TV news on Churchill’s achievements and legacy — filmed right here on the streets of Westminster. The knowledge and passion on this tour is extraordinary.

A Thousand Years of Power

From the Norman Conquest to the present day — in a single square mile

Westminster Hall has stood for almost a thousand years — built by William Rufus in 1097. It is the oldest surviving part of the Palace of Westminster and has witnessed the trial of Charles I, the lying in state of monarchs, and the historic address of Nelson Mandela to both Houses of Parliament. Walking through it is one of the most profound experiences London offers.

Outside in Parliament Square, the bronze figures of those who shaped the modern world stand in silent conversation — Churchill and Gandhi and Lincoln and Mandela, all within a few feet of each other. Your guide brings every one of them vividly to life.

🔦 The War Rooms are almost exactly as they were left in August 1945 — maps still on the walls, telephones on desks, Churchill’s chair at the head of the table. It is one of the most haunting and extraordinary places in London.
