Why Daytime? Why Private? Why Us?
The only tour that goes everywhere — because it’s just you
Night tours sound atmospheric — until you arrive to find 30, 40, sometimes 50 people all jostling for the same spots, straining to hear a guide at the back of the crowd, locked out of the lanes and alleyways that a private group can access freely. The night tours go where the crowds go. We go where the story actually happened.
This private daytime tour visits every single canonical Ripper murder scene — something no big group tour can claim — plus several additional key sites that bring the full story to life. Your guide has studied Jack the Ripper for over 40 years and lived in London for even longer. As a historian, not just a guide, the depth of knowledge brought to this tour is extraordinary.
Don’t just take our word for it — the men and women of the NYPD, the Chicago Police Department and London’s own Metropolitan Police have all taken this tour. As have TV producers making some of the biggest shows you may have seen.

The more things change — the more the horror remains
Whitechapel has changed enormously in 135 years. New buildings, new streets, new names. But the lanes and alleyways where Jack operated still exist — and walking them with a guide who knows every inch of this story is an experience unlike any other in London.
During the autumn of 1888, Jack the Ripper murdered at least five women — the canonical five — and possibly several others before and after. He was voted the Worst Briton of All Time. He was never caught, never identified beyond all doubt, and never stopped haunting the public imagination. This tour is about truth as much as atmosphere — the awful social conditions, the brilliant near-misses, the real investigative failures.
🔍 “I’ve studied Jack The Ripper for over 40 years and lived in London for even longer. As a historian and not just a guide I’ll make the tour come alive — this is a totally un-rushed, personalised tour that can show you a side of London’s East End that most Londoners never get to see.”
Where it all began — Whitechapel, East London, Autumn 1888
“I went on a Jack the Ripper tour with Stephen on Halloween. I learnt so much more than I expected; about the murders and the environment the poor women were living in. Communication from Stephen from first enquiry to the day of the tour was faultless. He was on time and easy to find at our meeting place. I thoroughly enjoyed Stephen’s company and would recommend him for a few hours or a week!”
