Castles come in all shapes and sizes, but Warwick Castle is impressive by any standards.   Warwick Castle has a history going back all the way to the Norman invasions in 1066 and is in incredible condition.

Learn all about the Kingmaker and the War of The Roses that came close to tearing England apart.  Climb the battlements, visit the dungeons and see the horrid instruments of torture.  Many of the rooms are exactly as they were centuries ago whilst some others were inhabited into the 20th Century.  You might even see a ghost

There are often re-enactments at Warwick Castle with demonstrations of the world largest trebuchet or siege engine and a fine selection of birds of prey in the large and beautiful castle grounds that border the River Avon.

Warwick Castle makes a good day trip on its own but is ideal to combine with a second day at nearby Stratford Upon Avon.
